Livestock for Food, Learning and Livelihood Skills
The livestock programme is planned as a practical component of the 18-acre Model Farm, supporting food production, agricultural learning and demonstration of responsible animal-management practices.
Dairy cattle - planned capacity: 20 cows
The dairy unit is intended to demonstrate practical dairy management, nutrition, hygiene, animal health, record keeping and responsible production while contributing to the wider food-security mission of Wings For The Nations.
Sheep - planned capacity: 30
The sheep unit will provide a practical setting for learning about small-ruminant management, feeding, housing, health and farm integration.
Dairy goats - planned capacity: 50
The dairy-goat unit is intended to support practical learning in goat husbandry, dairy management and small-livestock systems relevant to households and community producers.
Poultry - planned capacity: approximately 1,000 chickens
The poultry component will demonstrate structured poultry production, housing, feeding, hygiene, flock management and record keeping within the wider integrated farm model.
